I want to buy a house
My mother and I were talking to my uncle on how he bought his home for $75.38 and that was it. It was a foreclosed home. My friends and I want to buy a home for less than $25,000 in a 15mile range of Blue Island, IL. We do not care how crappy it is as long as it will not colapse on us and it up to date on its requierments. We would like 2 bedrooms she needs a studio for painting and drawing, and we both need separate studies. We dont care even if we turn 3 bedrooms into the studio and studies. We would like at least 1 1/2 baths, a garage and driveway, washer, dryer, and dishwasher. Also a basement or attic but not a hideaway attic. For fun we would also like a laundry shoot. lol. And a big enough backyard for a good size pool and or trampoline. If it comes with the house even better. We want a nice home and plan to live there throughout college. Where can I find these homes and look them up for free not a trail? Also any agents on here please help me. I am willing to pay a reasonable price for helping us.

Is there any low income house in Garden CITY, NY?
I will move to Garden City in Long Island for school. I searched some houses and apartments there, they are so expensive.
Is there any apartment for low income person there? Which office I can get help there? I just need one room and the basement is fine for me.
Thanks a lot!
I feel the school recommended house is more expensive, if I live several miles away from the school, it is better.
Also, the student loan’s interest is 8.5%, it is very high, higher than the normal housing loan. I will apply for the student loan to pay my tuition, but I will try my best to apply as less as I can.

Apartment in second floor or basement of house?
I’m looking for apartments on long island, and I don’t know that much about the process. Nearly all of the places I’m finding are apartments in the basement or second floor of a person’s house. I’ve never run into any places like that growing up or in college.
What are those places like? Does anyone have any direct experience with them?
Crack in the foundation of our brand new house in the basement?
We built a brand new house on the same plot that we’ve had for over 20 years which is a block away from the canal water way on Long Island. We have a basement which has flooded once from ground saturation, and we have just discovered a crack in the foundation of our unfinished basement up the cement wall… Who do we go to to fix this? And does this mean that it will have to be fixed for thousands of dollars?
It is still an unfinished basement, no sheetrock- just the cement walls and floor.
